Re: rims

Your wheels weight 16 lbs...9 lbs sounds EXTREMELY LIGHT!

Re: rims

really they weigh 16 lbs? but yeah i have been doing some research and i have found the vx rims weigh supposedly around 10-11 lbs. so a 6lb drop is alot times that by 4 you are dropping nearly 25lbs in weight and those are moving parts so i would think that would make some difference

what you are forgetting to mention is they are Enkei wheels made for honda...complete with an Enkei stamp on the backside (inside) of the rim...

they are light and cool

Re: rims

Smaller diameter wheels will be able to spin up faster and light wheels are easier to spin so a smaller light wheel is good.

Re: rims

Yeah, also..especially with the b series, smaller wheels will allow you to keep the rpms higher, through corners and such, therfore allowing you to stay in the power.

Re: rims

I was looking at the Rotas, i dont particularly like the slipstreem, and alot of the others ones dont quite appeal to me either..I dont like the inward curve of the spokes at the lip of the wheel, prefer it to be a lil straighter, but Im good with wheels for now...

Re: rims

i replaced the steel wheels on my hatch with the 13" vx wheels and it began regularly returning 3 or 4 mpg more over the steelies. i was impressed and yes, they are consideriably lighter than the steel wheels that were on it when i got it. just wish they were wider...

Re: rims

Yeah, the lighter the rim, the less rotational inertia.. if your interested in the physics of rims. Inertia is based on radius and mass... the less of each means greater angular acceleration. However, the only downside to having rims with less inertia means they cant store energy as good as larger rims. But lighter rims are ideal for everyday stop-and-go driving and accelleration/deceleration.
