2002 Venture - Check engine light (?)

I have a 2002 Chevrolet Venture SWB. I noticed today that a light comes on in the instrument cluster - not sure if its the check engine light but it looks like an oil can and a wrench (its red). What is this light?? I dont have an owners manual to check...help!!

Re: 2002 Venture - Check engine light (?)

if its a "red" light - it means its a warning
"amber" colored lights are reminders.

on my '04 venture - i get an "amber" colored oil can w/ a wrench telling me its time to change oil.

a "red" oil can light (on my '04) means Low Oil or Low Oil pressure.

perhaps an '02 venture is different, but i doubt it
