Sebring 2001 lx convert Rear window defrost cable.
Anyone have a solution to keeping the power supply wire glued to the window? Dealer fixed it twice it broke off again when top was lowered/raised. |

Re: rear defroster
The only fix that chrysler(at least the dealer that I bought mine from) has found to work is to replace the window, but that could be pretty spendy. check out this site.
http://www.sebringclub.net/board/ You should find some info out there that will fix it for a while. |

Re: rear defroster
I have a 1999 Sebring JXI Convertible. The same thing happened to me twice. The dealer fixed it one. It fell off again. So I took it back and then the dealer replaced the whole back window. Lo and behold, the rear defroster fell off again. So disgusted I finally took it to a automotive glass shop. They glued it on for me, and that was 3 years ago. Knock on wood, it's still 100%.

Re: rear defroster
My 1999 Sebring JXI convertible had the same problem. Not once but twice did I get it fixed. The second time the dealer replaced the rear window. Still fell off. So I finally took to an automotive glass repair shop and they glued it for me. That was 3 years ago and still holding strong! Give it a try.

Re: rear defroster
I haven't tried it myself yet, though I have had one of the tabs come off of my rear window. I just read on a different post of someone who found conductive sealant and glued it on himself with great results.
