Headlight not working...

I Have an 02' jetta 1.8T. I had just bought the car, driven it for a few days and I lost power to the stock radio... went to the dealer, they put in an aftermarket radio... I went away for 2 weeks and the car sat the whole time. when I got back, the driver's side headlight does not work. High beams are fine though, can anyone tell me where to start...

Oh yea... I took off the plastic panel in back of the light, but it looked kinda crazy, and decided not to mess with it.
