Transmission problem???

I got a 93 Mitsubishi Eclipse 1.8 automatic and it wont shift out of third gear. It has reverse and third and ive talked to many people and nobody really knew anything or heard anything like that happening. If anybody knows anything it would nice to respond.thanx

What do you mean it won't shift out of third? Does it go into park and drive and just sticks in 3rd while in Drive? Try changing filter and fluid, anything helps a bit.

Fluid, and filter first then go from there.
