HELP: CAR WON'T START. Many fast clicking sound.
I started installing a power door lock kit in my car last weekend. and today when I tried to start my car, it won't start. I hear many very fast "click click click ..." sound when turn my key to the start position. They are very fast. And in my car, something is beeping 5 times periodically (I do not have an alarm)
I haven't connected my power door lock to anything yet. I was just testing it by itself (using power from the power window connector). I have tried jumping the car, but the same clicking sound is happening and the car still won't start. Even without using a jump cable, I was able to use my radio, lights, etc... Has any one experienced this? PLEASE HELP! DocYahoo |

the noise you are describing sounds like a car when its battery is dead. the battery can still have enough juice left over to run the radio and lights, but not enough amperage to turn the motor over. i would look at the starter motor and make sure it is within spec. make sure it is getting enough current, and that the solenoid is still working properly.

nah, not the battery, my friends car did this...its somethin really weird.
Take it somewhere and have them fix it, its not a self fixer, trust me, i spent hours at the gas station tryin to figure out what was wrong, you wont, so dont waste your time, just give up and pay to have it fixed |
