brake and turn signal problems

brake and turn signal problems on 86 suburban right side brake and turn signal wont work (left is fine and right front turn work) fuses are good (stop and turn) bulb is good (pluged it to left) but now i am lost is their a another fuse to check???

From experience...look at the socket first, and then start checking feed wire continuity. Subs are famous for chafed and broken wires. They collect all kinds of road stuff up under them...none of which is compatable with electrical wires.

That's why I crawl under mine with the pressure washer at least every spring...'sides when I finish that job, the shower after is almost better than sex...

I believe that the brake lights are run through the turn signal switch on this model.

I think you might be correct. If the fuses are good though, there is a break in continuity somewhere...and it's not touching ground for a dead short.

Another thought...do you have a trailer wire harness/pigtail?

i do have a trailer harness and all wires look good think i will try to get a new socket thank yall' for helping need to get this thing inspected soon
