93 ProbeGT automatic wont shift

My 93GT automatic goes from 1st to 2nd okay but then reves up real high and jerks hard into the next gear. If I start it in low and move it up to 2nd then into drive it's smoother but then it wont shift up any further I'm going 50mph and the RPMs are at 5000.

Any ideas, some help would be greatly appreciated,

Okay well I am sure this will show how much I do not know but here we go. Car info:
93 Ford Probe GT

Date of Manufacture: 11/18/92

Engine V6 DOHC 24V

As far as Transmission goes? I got the following data off of the door.

VIN# 1ZVCT22B3P5159054 (the C may be an L)
Passenger
EZ

Under DSO was:
R – 8
S - B
AX – 6
TR – E7

I was told I could get info on my car with the VIN# on the internet but I thought I would get you this data first.

I know I may have just gotten you a buncha junk but let me know what else you may need or where I might look to get the info you need.

Hi, Darcpoet, Sorry for the delay, I had to do a lot of research in my old ford TSB'S and also asked a lot of question at the dealership I retired from, I don't have any good news, no easy external/sensor/electrical or adjustment fix according to your info, Please do yourself a big favor and have the trans, diagnosed as per the ford factory manual and flow chart and go from there,GOOD LUCK...Clay...
