http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hm0fneuMLg

well so far some few refs, starting from me on the little toy (I note I had a strange face, like someone who stamp on a cow crap )

and finally, as in the gridgirl thread, the Red: a WIP I started this morning with my friend, call it a twosome

Re: The 500's Ride

Wow, it really is that cute - I thought maybe it was just the model!

Those are some terrific reference pictures! The car looks like it's in magnificent condition (assuming you haven't crashed it). Maybe I need to get an Abarth next, Tamiya is supposed to rerelease it this month. It was nice of your friend to paint his car to look like mine.

I still haven't been able to get the video to work, though this morning the website offered to let me do a puzzle instead.

So do you have a friend with an Alfa GTA, by any chance?

That looks like excellent progress on your twosome, I'll be looking for further updates.

Re: The 500's Ride

Cool- now do you have a VW Beetle that you can put it under for size reference?

Gio, are you sure this is you driving, and not Jaques Villeneuve?

I have my suspicions....

Re: The 500's Ride

Cool: how do you know that we crashed the cincen if you haven't seen the video? I'm sorry the site is down for manteinance.
I haven't friend with the GTA but it isn't really rare here: I'll have a look around, a lot of local hystoric clubs own car like those: hoping this time to give refs before you finish. But I think I'll find something for the abarth: my friend Berto join a 500's owner group with several abarth

Great pictures, although I think Gridgirl's looks more realistic. Tell Roberto to try putting some wash on the engine and on the upholstery.

Thanks, yes, excellent progress: moved to finished stuff
But not problem: I can't say if my wife is worried more for my model stockpile or for my cellar

The video rocks!
Were you guys smokin' grass on the way down or the way back up?
Next time, I'm on the back seat

You're lucky in the rear seat: often that place is filled from a couple Red's demijohn: so nothing smoke - 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (well after the finished chianti.. )

Re: The 500's Ride

Hey, it works now!

Cool video. Maybe I should come over to Italy- we certainly don't have roads like that around here.

Just how long did it take you guys to push that tiny little car up that great big hill?

Re: The 500's Ride

I driven the cinquecento up that hill (from 200mtrs to 700 mtrs tall, 6 km) and I was really surprised from this little engine: it's original and restored but it's the fastest 500 I driven so far, just 5 minutes: I have a sound clip of the climbing with me at driving wheel and my first experience with the "doppietta" I thin I sanded down all gear train

And... come here when you&wife want: you're welcome: at least you haven't to drive to come back so... something red to taste?

Re: The 500's Ride

What a lovely car!

Always been keen on 500's - hence my username. Found an old picture of my Cinquecento trackday car complete with turbo! Ignore the rubbish in the background!
