Read this...

I followed his directions with one slight modification, I used Permatex gasket sealer. Everything came out perfect, read his instructions, they are great.

I think you'll find how to remove the headlights on this site:

Yeah I painted mine black. Removing the headlights is easy. To start take off the bumper. There are 6 or so clips on the top right where the hood starts, there are about 6 bolts under the car, and one in each fender. Once the bumper is off there are 3 or 4 bolts holding the lights in place, they are easy to see. I think all of the bolts are 8mm or 10mm, I can't remember now. The hardest part is removing the light bulbs themselves. I can never figure it out, always takes 10 minutes of jiggling or me.

I just used Rustoleom flat black. Cost about $3 at Home Depot. Looks profesional. I've seen people say to use 5+ coats, I don't know why. I used 2 coats and no primer. Don't spray it thick, and just get full coverage, take your time.

I'm not sure what silver reflector your talking about. But, The only silver left inside my headlights is the main bulb area, the turn signals are black now with hyper whites in them. They look very intimidating at night. Keeping the main bulb silver is easy, when you open the light and take the housing out the main bulb area will stay seperate with the backing. It's hard to explain, but as soon as you get it apart you'll realize what I mean.

Well, I have a 98, so my headlights are slighly different. If you look at the link I posted with directions you will see what I did. Mine are exaclty like the ones in the other forum.

I didnt paint the glass (actually, mine are plastic) I only painted the housing. They are easy to see no matter what time of day or what angle you view them from, but if you were to paint the lense it might cause trouble.
