so i just got back from autozone w/ my obdII reader. went down and hooked it up and i got these 2 codes:
Gear ratio incorrect .. how do i fix that?!
Speed Sensor A Malfunction.. im guess that the speed sensor isn't plugged in all the way or something.. does the gear ratio have to do w/ the linkage or do i have to tare the fuckin tranny out again to fix that problem?! give me some thoughts on what you guys think it is! thanks.. car is a '96 eagle nt auto if that helps any!

Re: got codes need help!

i was messing around w/ my linkage a little bit and i got it to shift into 2nd really hard ( not good ) but it won't get out of 2nd now.. in the haynes book it says to put the car in "N" and disconnect the adjust nut on the linkage and pull the slack out of the cable and then tighten the nut back up.. i do that and still nothing! i even got a new code once when i did that it was reverse ratio not correct. i double checked the speed sensor and its down all the way.. it sits right on top of the tranny right? .. guess all i can do is keep messin w/ the linkage? any other ideas?

Re: got codes need help!

do you think that its something in the tranny not lineing up right or anything? ive given up hope that its something to do w/ the linkage but i don't know what else it could be.. its not like i did anything w/ the tranny except seperate it from the motor? im open for any ideas!! hopefully i don't have to pull it again because i don't have time for this!
