1991 GSX Just bought it today! Got some problems

Today I went to look at this 91 GSX. Nassau blue w/130k miles with 3000 miles on "rebuilt" Well didnt pay for the car itself yet, told the guy i really wanted this car as a project but had no money so he let me take the car and now i have to get my ass a job! lol ... but i have the title signed over to me and the reciept, anyway... lol .. pretty damn sweet if ya ask me.



I was looking through the car and found im missing this bolt:


I'm not sure how to locate it for you guys but it bolts the tranny to the motor. There IS a GAP between the motor and the tranny. Its almost right in the center of the pic a lil to the left and lil towards the top.

Got to takeing it apart a lil bit and saw i had the..... BIG 16G BRAND NEW!


Also ran into this problem:

Cylinder 1-2-3-4 so on and so on.... look below tho!


Yea not doing so hot there... 171-181-100-200

Not sure what is wrong yet... but plug three didnt look too good...

This brand NGK, BPK6ES


I have to do some more research on that plug.

Well what do you guys think should be the next step?

Take the head off unfortunetly. That seems like the best thing at this point. How much did you pay (or will you) for it?

hmmm, even if it was a rebuilt one, with a brand new B16G, 3000 is kinda steep for a car that needs another "rebuild" lol. Doesn't sound like it was rebuilt, or if it was, then da fuck? So how much does he want for it?

jsut got off the phone with him, agreed on 500$ cash, now i just have to start my job back up cause i dont have any money lol...

I want to run 18psi so im going to go with:
550 injectors
fpr
190 pump
bored .010 over (or whatever it is)
2g pistons
1g rods
would like to get the tranny rebuilt

any input well appreciated

Sounds like an excellent list to start out with. Maybe you should consider a different clutch too... Probably a 2100 lb would be perfect for your setup. Oh and your gonna want an exhaust too.

If you are going to bore it over might as well bore it .020 over.

i drove it onto th etrailer and into the barn where 2 hrs later i had the motor on the other side of the garage!
