System Pictures, post em up.

I'm trying to gather some ideas for my subwoofers in my Civic Hatch. I have searched, but most of the pictures in the old threads are gone/down. Anyways, post up your systems.

Re: System Pictures, post em up.

You could put a strut bar ina rex just fine like that...the hole for it is farther forward than you think..

Oh yeah...right, I knew that lol...but really, who needs to put a bar on a focus? Or, who the hell needs a focus?!

Re: System Pictures, post em up.

I've been thinking about getting some system components. I can't decide whether I want to spend more and get Rockford stuff or cheap out a little and get Lanzar again. My old Lanzar stuff lasted over 5 years and was still hitting pretty decent when I sold the amp and subs. I want a 10" sub and a decent 2 channel amp that I can bridge to mono @ 4 ohms. That's it nothing special... maybe run 10 gauge wire like I was doing. It still thumped pretty good and I never turned the amp up more than 1/2 way nor used the bass boost. My biggest problem, besides being a cheapskate, is what I'm going to do for a box. I really want a truck box so I can face the speaker straight up that way I know it won't tip over. But I really don't want to spend $70 just for a box...

Re: System Pictures, post em up.

I would skimp on the RF's and get some Bostons:

As far as subs go, what are you looking for sound quality or just bass. I have 2 Audiobahn 12"s that are lound and hit hard. Not the greatest sound quality though. Honestly if I was you and wanted a system that would last for a long time and a good investment I would buy a RE XXX 10" maybe even 12". There lower line would even be great for you.

On a budget and looking for some good sounding and quality subs and amp I would go with some Hifonics Zeus subs and a Zeus or Brutus amp. They are good quality and are hard to beat for the price.

Re: System Pictures, post em up.

See here is the thing. I ditched my system because it slowed me down...haha All I want is a little bass with my music. I'm already hearing impaired and I don't listen to loud obnoxious music anymore.

Also, I think anything for my application over 200 watts rms is simply pointless.

Ok I gotcha now. Nothing booming, just some depth to the music. Man I wish you would have been a few months sooner. I had a old Hammer Pro 12" that I had worked great just didn't need it, would have let you have it for free.

Ok since you don't really want a lot of power I will suggest a Rockford Fosgate 301M amp. Run it with a new JLW1. That is at 4ohm 150w rms.

Now with that you can run it at 2ohm. I have the same amp and love it. Never had any problems and the thing barely gets warm. You run it at 2ohm's your looking at 300w rms.

I would go with the last one ^. Would be perfect for that amp.

Re: System Pictures, post em up.

I have 2 Xplod 12" subs, they were very cheap, and sound freaking awesome...Overkill in your case but the 10's sound great too...I just had to put em in a vented box to stop them from having a fuzzy hit to them..the sealed box just didnt like them..But still, very cheap and reliable as hell, Ive never had one single ounch of trouble with them, or the 1200w amp, also a sony, also very affordable.
