99 k1500 wont start

well i went to leave work and it just wouldnt start it trys to start but it wont fire it turns over real good so i pulled the pump and hooked it up to a 12v battery and it worked just fine i also got a new fuel pump relay and that did nothing It also made a lot of noise when you would shut the truck off from the fuel pump area i also did a quick check to see if i was getting any gas to the regulator and it wasnt.any ideas would be nice thanks.

Do yo have fuel pressure at the rail, step one in diagnostics.

no it has no pressure at the rail and the pump does not turn on when you try to start it.

use the relay by pass connector and apply 12v, also check the fuel filter a plugged filter will take the pump out if it is left too long. Use a test light and make sure you have 12v at the relay, both the enable side and the power side.

You haven't said whether you have spark or not. If not, you either need to replace the crank sensor or the igniter.
