Re: sell or keep?

Yeah.. alot of that seems to be suspension improvements... What's the matter with the engine? I'd fix THAT first, THEN fix the other stuff.

Re: sell or keep?

the only parts on the car are the flowmaster and the cowl hood, all the other parts are brand new and in the box. i want to sell it but i doubt i'll get as much out of it as i have in parts..i dont want to get out of camaros or firebirds, but with my new job it will be easier to just buy a newer ls1 car then to invest the time fixing this one up

Re: sell or keep?

Gotcha.... If you're ok with taking the loss, then just sell it and chalk it up to experience.

You might be better off just lumping all that shit together as one item on ebay and dumping it... you might never sell each individual piece. (They won't fit on your new maro??? that is... when you get one.)

Re: sell or keep?

youll never get what you paid for those parts... its a sad thing to lose that money. But I hear you on the time thing. Working full time and going to school full time kills all of my time that I might have to work on my motor. That and people seem to be lazy bums when it comes to shipping stuff out.

Re: sell or keep?

could do what im doing... put a ls1 motor in your third gen. Or an LT1 for that mater. They are great motors and make a ton of easy streetable power.

Poke around on forums like ls1tech.com or camaroz28.com or the countless others and offer a trade plus cash or something for a complete ls1/LT1 motor and trans. Im building my own ls1 but i kinda wish I wouldve just bought a whole one. Live and learn though.

It will definetly give you something to spend your money on though. You can even upgrade to a powersteering rack and tubular k member and coil overs and have that 4th gen steering response and handling. Third gens are great and cheap cars to build up to be monsters. If your looking for a nice pretty and clean show car/just plain fast then the 4th gen would be your answer. Thirdgen interior just isnt as sleek as the 4th. But you can just swap all 4th gen interior into your thirdgen. The posibilities are endless. I just like the 3rd gen body style more than the 4th. Not hating on the 4th though im just partial.

Re: sell or keep?

Or find an engine builder that you can pass the parts to and have them build the motor for you. Then all you gotta do is stick it in the car and slap a carb on top and do a little dance....

the parts you have there would make a killer motor with the right heads and cam... something to think about....
