99 passat 1.8T won't start

99 passat 1.8T won't start
My passat wont start . Some crack noise when i turning the key. It went to dead finally. The battery seems fine, because lights, turn signal, radio etc are working.
I appreciate any comments or ideas .

brought my passat to the dealership today. And It cost me $200 to get a new spark plug to get it run....
