Exclamation vibration under heavy acceleration

In 1st and part or 2nd if i gas it, i get a heavy vibration that shakes the whole car sort of like going over the dots in the middle of the road or like wheel hop if you have experianced that. Im leaning towards the driveshaft bearing or wheel bearing, possibly clutch??? and tests or suggestions are greatly appreciated

Heres the car 90 twin turbo with 94 jdm engine.

Re: vibration under heavy acceleration

hmmm I would say motor mount, but do you have aftermarket shocks??? if so, I used to experience horrible wheel hop like the rear wheels were jack hammers, and it happened when I was giving it some gas and I went over even the slightest bump or wet pavement... in your case I'd say it's possible to, becuase you have a TT and if you start to slip the clutch out too fast, that could be the reason...

Re: vibration under heavy acceleration

are you losing traction when it happens? it could be wheel hop or something... if it is you could try replacing the subframe bushings with some nice new poly ones or something

Re: vibration under heavy acceleration

Is the Z a Stick? sounds like it could be a warped clutch or a drive shaft problem..those are my first thoughts with out driving it , just going by what you said..

Re: vibration under heavy acceleration

ohh yea I'm with DZ on this one, your car = teh sex!!!! Was the car in an accident or something btw? Maybe the hood just needs an alignment, or the bumper, but one looks a lil' off. Either way, that's a bitchin' z

Re: vibration under heavy acceleration

Thanks guys its a really random problem sometimes it appears and sometimes it goes away i havent put the puzzle together yet but im definantly going for driveshaft or clutch (clutch would definatly suck but theres always room for upgrading there! ) sometimes it takes almost no load and sometimes it takes a really hard "gassing" to get it to do it either way it only happens under acceleration.

Appreicate the comments not bad for 17 year old eh? Im careful with it. It is a 5 spd and still Twinturbo ill post a video tommarow of the symptoms.

I suggest you just stop, and go away. Trust me, you don't want to be reported to your ISP.

Re: vibration under heavy acceleration

very nice Z32. i love charcoal grey...but till havent decided if i like my platinum silver or the charcoal better. anyways, if i had a 1st guess at your problem, i would guess the carrier bearing in the driveshaft. you can pick up nice 1 piece steel driveshaft for just a tad over $200 once you confirm this is the problem. don't bother spending the $750 on a brand new OEM or buying another used OEM one. this is a common problem with the Z32, but a rather easy and cheap fix.

good luck with her.
