trunk release problems

i got a 00' integra and i'm having problems opening my trunk. most of the time when i go and try to open it...it wont open...kinda like its still locked. its kinda hit and miss and opens when it wants to...anybody have this problem?

there are two rubbers that tread in to your trunk or hatch, if they are treaded in to far, there won't be upwards pressure on the trunk when you hit the release button. try turning them out a turn or two, this should put some upward pressure on the trunk when you hit the release.

yeah, 99 integra and same problem, i just use the key.

96 integra, same problem, mine only does tht when tis cold tho, i think my gas tubes or w/e their called tht hold up the hatch are shot, in winter i jsut use the key

I have the same problem with my '99 teg. Have to use the key and turn it several times to get the lock to open. I've taken apart the molding in the trunk and I think it is related to the locking actuator (relay or something) under the left side panel, by the gas tank door, behind the rear tire. I haven't replaced it yet to see if it fixes the problem though. Let me know if that helps anyone. Good luck.
