starting problems

i have a 86 lx 5.0 but i cant get it to start i have fixed everything
my obd scanner says a sensor on the transmission isnt reciveing proper signa
but there isnt any wires or sensers hooked to the tranny and it was working fine if anyone out there has had this problem or knows how to fix it please share it with me i love this car to death and dont want to sell it but if i cant get it running theres nothing else i can do with it its a daily driver but i plan to restore it at the end of this years since it will be a classic
