I have 93 Dakota. Lost my parking, tail, and dash lights. Manual says check fuse #8 on fuse panel since they are all on the same circuit. It was fine. I checked all my grounds (that I could find) and they are all ok. Local parts house says its the light switch is the most likely culprit. Is there something else that could cause that circuit to not work?

Re: Parking, Tail, and dash lights
if you have done all that diagnosis and still no lights
It has to be the switch can you unplug the wiring loom and get power to the circuit to check the lights with a length of wire from the battery terminal ? thats the last way of checking the lights |

Do the horn and stop lamps work ok? Check fuse #13 also. Both of these circuits are fed off of the headlight switch, you might want to check the connector on the switch to see if it's melted.

Re: Parking, Tail, and dash lights
You may also have a short. If you have a trailer hook up check and make sure there are no bare wires touching.
