93 Altima throttle sticks

My daughter was driveing her 1993 Altima when the throttle stuck wide open. After pulling over, she found a vacuum hose disconnected. Reconnecting it solved the problem. It doesn't make sense to me that a vacuum hose would cause it to default to max throttle. Any ideas?

Re: 93 Altima throttle sticks

93 was first generation altima's, there was a throtle cable recall on them, if you have rubber grommets on the cable with clamps it has been done, if not, then it hasn't.. it brakes apart from the fire wall

Re: 93 Altima throttle sticks

I think the "vacuum hose" was mistaken for something else. Have her show you.
