Tint- Fix it ticket

Alright i got pulled over for "cutting off the cop" that was 2 blocks away. He told me my tint is illegal(22%, legal is 50%). Now i was driving the truck in my sig, 03 Ram. On the fix it ticket it says FORD, also he didnt write down my DL #. So 2 things on here are false or not recorded. Does that make this invalid? What can i do here? My gf just had my tint done for me on wednesday for my birthday so it would piss me off to have had her waste money on me like that. What other options do i have? When you go in for a fix it ticket do they run your plates? Cause my grandpa has a ford pickup with no tint. I know it doesnt sound legal, but he did say i was driving a ford.

Wrong make, no DL number. Ive done it before not 100% legal if they find out i just swapped tags. Bad winshield, and headlight, i got one of my friends to sacrifice there vehicle swapped tags and i drove it up there. They didnt check the vin or, looked at the windshield, headlight wrote it off and i was on my way.

My luck was that the cop just put down buick, no year, model, color or whether it was a 4 door or coupe. You could wait for them to send you a registration suspension notice or you can take the ford wih your chances, cause they might look at you like your retarded if it says ford on the ticket and you bring a dodge, then again cops arent the smartest.

good luck with it man it sucks to pull the tint off, especially the day after you get it on (its happened to my friends).

well one of my friends cousins dads is a cop. So he might just write it off for me. Hopefully i dont have to rip it off.

I have heard that if you get a fine when ticketed if you overpay the fine by one dollar the dmv will send you the dollar back and the computers won't take points off from your liscense until the dollar is cashed and comes back to the dmv? I don't know if this works, just a rumor.

Its a fix it ticket. I dont pay anything unless i dont FIX IT.

but if you had 22% tint and up to 50% tint is legal, then there is no problem.
how did the cop test the tint to prove it was too dark.
if the cop didnt test it, and he just looked at it and said, "thats too dark sonny", then you're home free.

bring in the reciept that says you bought 22% tint and show it to the court.

you could also just show your grandpa's ford and say you fixed it.

Its called an ultraviolet light they use them up here since 30% is the legal limit, on trucks/suvs they dont care i have 5% on the rear, side quarter windows, and the front windows are 20%. .

And 3 months is better than 2 years, yes there people bringing threads from the grave and half the people in the threads arent even on here anymore.
