Re: should u use new tranny pan bolts

If yours has the neoprene rubber gasket, ive never seen one leak unless the pan was distorted. You can even reuse them several times. Check to be sure the flanges on the pan are good and straight, and not buckled around the bolt holes. Someone could have overtorqued em at some point and bent the pan. I use gasket and filters made by "ATP" , sold locally here by AUTO VALUE parts stores. The gaskets are the best ive found, made from a material that resembles a hard felt, and they never leak. Good and snug with a 1/4 " ratchet is tight enuff, or you can torque em if you have a wrench.(10-12 ft lbs). You dont have to replace the bolts, sealer on them wont stop any leaks, cause the bolts dont go into oil, the gasket does all the sealing. I put anti seize on em to keep em from galling, some of the bolt holes go thru the case flange, and are exposed to moisture and dirt from road spray. Good luck.
Later
Ed
