You better have been racing deep in the night. And you better have been racing in a 35 or above zone.

There was some &*%#head that posted a race story in which he raced a slow car in his turbo'd 98 Accord. He said he went 90 in a 25. 90 in a fukkin 25? You guys do know that 25 mph zones are for two reasons; residential areas and school zones. I swear to God if a street racer killed my little sister or one of my friends kids or something. I would break his fukkin neck. Some people have no respect for traffic. If you're going to race in public, shut it down at like 70 tops. If you want to do something insane, do it out in the country or on an abandoned road. Coz you'd be suprised, there are kids out there on the streets and while you're going 95 mph, a kid might jump out from behind a car, even if it's 3 in the morning.

Some f*ck head? How dumb are you? First of all where I was racing nobody lives there. Secondly you wouldn't know what the scenery looked like. Third It was in the early morning. You shouldn't be saying shi*t when you don't know shit. And racing a slow car?....what the hell is that.....maybe I raced a slow car because its my friend. Get the facts straight and use some common knowledge be for you talk sh*t.:finger:

let me clear up my story a little first of all i was raceing at like 1:30 am and it was a 45mph straightaway zone with a set of lights like every 200 yards so also a two lane street so im sure there was no kids running around and i made sure no piggies were around either . and also the red light part it just terned red when i ran through it so it didnt have enough time to tern green for the other road yet couse i just lissed the yellow light but the civic totally blew the red light . peace :sun:

Very, very stupid

How many miles did you have on your car when you raced? You ever heard about the so-called break in period ? This is the reason why I always recommend to buy a new car instead of pre-owned. You never know what kind of idiot had it before you and what horrible things were done to it.

My friend got probation for doing about the same in his Impreza RS. He`s just another drunken dumb fuck who will kill himself and be proud of it. He has a video of his friend racing his 98 325i against a Tahoe of all things. In short, the Tahoe cuts him off and the Beemer guy panics and turns sharply only to make his car flip over at about 90 mph and skid for half a football field. The kid was fine, but I think it`s only because he was in a Beemer. He`d probably be dead in a civic.

That's what i was thinking too. How many miles did you have on your car? I don't think it's a very good idea to redline the car when it's so new. I know everyones "break-in" procedure is probably different, but isn't it keep it low on the rpm for at least 3,000 miles?

breakins let the bearings and rings loosen up a little, and wear in the clutch. 500 or so stop and go miles is usually ok. so how about 125 in a 40, that is above 35. i got pulled over drag raciong going 125 in a 40, got let off too.

I have a hard time believing any cop would let someone off if they were clocked at over 3 times the posted limit. Either you knew the cop or you got on your knees to perform some service.

i-VTEC doesn't "kick in". It's in all the time, just at different lift heights. That's why the "i" is there. Instead of two separate camshaft profiles, it has one sloping profile which it slides down as revs move up.
