Bad starter?

I have a 99 Escort SE. Occasionally when I try to start it, the engine does not turn over, but continues to click rapidly. I believe it is a bad starter, but wanted some advice before I take it in to get replaced. Please e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any advice. Thank you.

Re: Bad starter?

I had the same problem recently and so did my brother only last week and we both needed new batteries but maybe you should get a battery healthcheck first as I did....
