Tune Up On A 95 Cirrus

Thinking about getting a tune up on my wife's 95 Cirrus.
Just wondering what to expect in cost for a tune up ?
She has had the car for 2.5 years ,so I think it is time for a good tune up.
*** Forgot to add that the engine is a 2.5 liter, model of car is LXI Series ***

Do you already know that you cannot get to the 3 spark plugs in the back of the engine without taking off the top of the motor?

No, we will drop it at my mechanic in about a couple of days or so.
Sounds like some work.

Let us know what the cost is. They say that platinum spark plugs are put in and they should last a long time but, eventually they will need changed and this is one car that I won't change the plugs on.

My mechanic gave me a quote of about $250.00 for him to do it.
Yes, it is true several of the plugs will be difficult to get to.
He does good \ fair work.

Re: Tune Up On A 95 Cirrus

I noticed in another thread that you had a tanny shift problem repaired for $250. What exactly did you have done, my car goes into "limp home mode" occasionally and the Chrysler dealer can't seem to fix it.

We took the car to Amoco Transmission for that repair.
It would drive good for the first five minutes , then the car would not shift out of second gear.[ went into the limp mode ]
Initialy, we had the transmisson servced, fluids & pump changes.
Problem still persisted.
Took it to Amoco [transmisson specialist ] & the problem was solved when they replaced the selinoid pack.
Good luck on getting your problem solved.
