Just got new clutch installed

Total cost.. $217 for the clutch, $317 for the labor, and $15 for tax... total "drumroll please"..... $550. And I Still have that weird noise comming from my transmission when i start my car. I was told my Throw out bearing needed replaced. Anyways, my main question is. How should the clutch feel now that its new?? Mines is really loose.. Is that normal for a new cluch??

Re: Just got new clutch installed

Exactly what do you mean by really loose? as in the pedal assembly is loose? clutch dont grab till all the way off the floor? please explain your self a lil more. I have a 93 Talon and i just put in a new clutch in it and the pedal seems to be the same, grabs about 1/2in off the floor.

They should have replaced the throw out bearing when they replaced the clutch. It's something you almost always do.

You might need to bleed your clutch.

Or adjust the pedal to master linkage. The shop should have bled it, check the fluid level maybe they didn't tighten the bleeder screw.

Re: Just got new clutch installed

my clutch felt really soft during the break in period too. It will get firmer as it breaks in.
