New Transmission in 1998 Intrigue
My transmission went up. I had it replaced and the new transmission shifts fine, but it has a louder sound to it and it does not shift as smooth as it did before. This doesn't seem normal to me, is it? I would appreciate any experience or feedback anyone can give me.

do you know what year/model the transmission came out of?
or did you actually get a brand new transmission? |

Hi, it is a rebuilt transmission. I think the parts are used.

Re: New Transmission in 1998 Intrigue
I had my tranny rebuilt on my 98 and it shifted hard a slipped a few times the first couple of weeks i had it back, but then i guess it relearned my driving habits and now it shifts smoother than ever, so if i were you i would give it a week or two and see if it improves, make sure to keep checking your tranny fluid, it should look new, if its dirty and black, or burnt smelling bring your car back to the place that rebuilt it right away
