Power Window Trouble

I am having trouble with the drivers and pasangers side front windows in my 4 door tahoe. The fronts do not go down when you hit either switch just clicking sounds from switch. The rears work fine. The position of the lock switch also does not matter the rears work in either position. I just replaced the switch and nothing has changed. Any Ideas?

Re: Power Window Trouble

Both of my front 2000 Suburban windows failed within 10 days of each other. I bought the domestic replacements from 1A Auto @ about $100 each. These replace both motor and regulator.

There is a thread on the Silverado Forum that describes the exact same process I used to replace mine.

Before you buy the parts though make sure you have power being delivered to the motors. If not, you have to start looking for the problem fuse/switch/relay.

Again, run the searches and look at results for Suburbans, Silverados, Tahos, Yukons...becase we are all pretty much the same from the front seats forward...

Good Luck!

Re: Power Window Trouble

I have a 2001 and I had to replace the entire regulator. it was a job rating 5 of 10. I ordered it fromhttp://www.innerauto.com/catalog/Window_Regulator/2001_chevrolet_tahoe.html it was delivered for around $87.00 hope it works.
