quick question about tail lights

Does anybody know if tail lights off of a 91 crx fit right on a 88 crx?

They are different, at least they look different than the others, whether the mounts and fitment is the same, Id highly doubt it.

Yep, they bought right up. That is of what i've heard. Alot of people have done it.

Well If they do, they are still different, in looks anyway...The have a ring around them about 1" that the others don't.

They are different as they do have a ring around them and them are darker in color as well. The styling of 90-91 lights really fit the crx well in looks compared to the 88-89. It's whatever your cup of tea is.

ok, then if any one has a stock center light, i am looking for one to replace my broken one.

Center is just a piece of plastic, not a light...

i have 91 tail lights on my 89, is all i know. they bolted up for me. the wiring harness was different. i swapped in the old harness from my other set of lights, and though not a perfect match, it fit well enough and was similar enough not to give me any problems. and i saved the harness from the 91 set.

correct. fitment is identical, just the reverse lights are in a different spot on the 88-89 compared to the 90-91's. Just swap the harness from the newer taillights to your 88-89 vehicle and you're all set. I'm running the complete 90-91 crx taillights on my 88 rex...much cleaner IMO. I like the outline around the taillights.
