Swap D16a9 engine for b16a2
Did anyone swaped engine d16a9 for b16a series. Is it possible and what problems are connected with this operation?
Or maybe should I install b18 engine from Integra I'm forced to throw out my engine and put a new one so why not put something stronger? :sun:

Welcome to the euro forum.
Like the others said, it is possible. And you do have to change some things. If you post this question in the tech forum on here, I'm sure you'll get a detailed answer on all the parts you'll need. In europe the engine swaps aren't as common as in the US. If you are not sure between the B16A and a B18C6 (I think), I say, go for the teg engine. I think that their very little that you have to change to go from a B16 to a B18. So all the parts you'll by for the B16 will go for the B18. If you're going for the engine swap and have the choice, go for the best...

Hi!
I would like to change for b18c engine but in Poland it would be extreamle hard to get it that's why if it would be to hard and to expensive I'll buy b16a engine. I know that swaping the engines in Euro is'nt so popular but for me it'll be cheaper to do that than repair my old engine

Welcome krzychuk!
The biggest problem with that swap is that a B16 (or B18) is a B-series engine and the D16A9 D-series which means different engine mounts + you'll need a new tranny. For a fraction of the cost of swapping in a B-series you could get a "new" D16A9 or Z5 in your car. You won't gain any hp obviously but is all that money for mounts, tranny, axles, ECU, etc, etc worth it for a 20hp (D16A9<->B16A1) gain? you need to ask yourself that question. Nice car (and brakes) btw

But if you can get all those parts for a good price, definitely go for it. I Just meant to say that you can swap in a good D16A9 from a wrecked rex or civic for like 1/3 of the cost of a full B-series swap. |

Propably you're right, but it won't be so eay to find d16a9engine in good shape. Those engines wereplaced only in civic/crx from 1988-91 and b16a or b18c I can get much younger.
In those 800 $ would be everyhing including transmission and mounts
