FYI: 1994 TC transmisson (and maybe other years)

I bought a 1994 TC and 10 days later the transmisson went out on it. SO I took it to a place that repairs/rebuilds our local Highway patrol LTD crusiers. Well I guess the transmissions in both cards are the same because the shop UPGRADED the transmisson kit in the TC so now it shifts like a cop car instead of a TC.

Place gave me another year on the warrenty instead of rebuilding again and that's ok with me. But for anyone out there, make sure that you STATE clearly to the repair show NOT to upgrade the kit.

no price difference, just between this kit upgrade and after market parts, not the smoothest of TC shifting but still good. Dealer wanted 2200 to do it and this guy did it for 1400

it shifts like a Highway patrol car now. That 4.6 V8 can get to 60 fairly quick now.

Where do you get one of those upgrade kits? I want to put one in my dad's 1997 TC Exec! All I can say is, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" and "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!"
