1972 bug possible fuel problem
I have a 72 bug which drives around fine then all of a sudden stops dead. After this happens a pour a bit of gas into the top of the carb and the engine starts again and runs fine again for a few miles. this keeps happening could someone please help.

Thankyou for your reply. I think it is sorted now as i did what you said and found quite a builup of muck in the float chamber. Seems ok now.

The carb may need rebuilt, hole in the fuel line, bad fuel line, there are several possibilities
