srs code question-Peake R5/SRS
After my son's 96 318i had the SRS light set, I bought a Peake R5/SRS tester. Codes listed 02(table) 10, and 03. According to book it reads 10 was for seat belt buckle, driver, and 03 listed supply voltage. I reset the codes and after several startups no code has returned, so perhaps a glitch. Maybe a loose wire etc. as well. We will watch very closely but is this a common occurance as far as codes, nuisance codes etc? I would assume since the unit self tests at each startup it is OK for now unless it happens again. If this does happen again, is this a repair I can do? Would never dream of working on SRS although if it just a simple sensor or wire I could do it.
