99 Montana Load Leveling Module

My self load leveling will inflate but will not deflate (it will stop inflating but not deflate). So eventually the shocks get completely full. I would like to replace the module that controls the compressor and the deflation process. This module is connected to the rear leveling crossbar by a small rod which moves a lever on the module up and down. Depending on the position of this lever: the compressor comes on , shuts off the compressor, or deflates the shocks based on the position of this lever. If anyone knows where I can get a functional replacement for this module I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I assume the dealer price is a lot or you'd just get it from them. You can call some salvage yards and/or search at car-part.com....any chance it is just a bad connection, and/or you sure that it is this sensor? You might have a check valve solenoid in the compressor itself that is sticking shut.....Glen

I have the same problem with my 01 Montana. I also think it´s the solenoid causing this. But I don´t want to buy a new one without being sure it´s the part I need because its Price is more than 100$.

Before going ahead and blaming the module, mine did exactly the same (would pump up but not release) and I found it was a corroded wire right by the connector that attaches to the compressor. Check the wiring first.

I Am Experiencing The Same Problem.
Pumps Up But Does Not Release.
I Will Investigate The Wiring Today And Advise.

Did you try the self-diagnosis function? Look under the Olds Silhouette forum under "Air Shock Problem", and you'll see the procedure. It works on my 2003, but not sure about the 1999.....I'd be curious to know if it has the diagnosis feature. The fellow I'm trying to help there can't seem to get it to work on his 1998....Glen

I have the same problem with my 1999 Montana. Rear shocks pump up ,but never releases. I am not sure what lets the pressure release? Have you had any luck ?

Put a tiny hole in the line feeding a the Tee to the shocks.
It will self regulate.
