change oil dash light=
hi dash light reads = change oil soon. how can i turn it off. thanks.

Turn the key to the run position and push the pedal too the floor and let up (I think 5 times) Then start the car, should be good to go.

It varies on different vehicles. If you have a GMT800 turn the key to run a push the accelerator to the floor three times within 5 seconds.

If you want the oil change light out you do it. If you want it to start right you do not. But if you have a foot that is pump happie. Just roll the window down and step outside of the car and reach in threw te window and turn the key on and start thes car before intering. But in case your car get flooded you can hold the gas pedal to the floor and it will enter a clear flood mode in the pcm that will shut of fuel and clear flood. MT

yea, you dont want to pump it while you are cranking the engine. you can pump it as much as you want when you are not cranking it, all you are doing is moving the throttle blade.

And, if it happens to be a '94, there is a RESET pushbutton alongside the fuse panel. Subsequent years used the KOEO/Throttle method as previously described.
