Post 93 grand am problems 2.3 sohc

I have had this car for about 7 years now runs great most of the time. I installed a new head and valves about 2 years ago and have since put about 15,000 miles on it. When I am at idle the engine lopes sometimes and has a bad hesitation. It also jumps when trying to accelerate above 50 mph as soon as overdrive kicks in its fine. I also had a code 25 which is an Air intake temp sensor circut, fine and good but I cant find the dam thing any help would be great. I have cared for this car like it was my kid with 125,000 miles on it I still get about 33 miles to the gallon on the highway. Please help Thank You

Re: 93 grand am problems 2.3 sohc

125k miles? Its barely broken in. Anyway, the sensor you are looking for is located in one of the air ducts leading to the throttle body. It should have 2 wires coming out of it, and its threaded into the duct. Check near the throttle body first, then follow the duct back to the air cleaner housing. Good luck, let us know if you need more information or help.
