Torn between two lovely cars...

This is probably the most important decision of my life. Do I get a '96 Mustang Cobra svt or '96 z28? It's so hard to choose. They're priced about the same, the engine specs are almost identical. what do u guys think? which one has the potential to be more powerful?

Re: Torn between two lovely cars...

I think the Cobra is a better all around car. When it comes to power, the 5.7L in the Camaro is hard to beat but the Cobra makes up for it with better handling due to a more sophisticated rear suspension. The Camaro has a 6-speed vs. the Cobra's 5-speed so it's likely faster in a straight line but not enough to make up for the overall refinement of the Cobra.

Re: Torn between two lovely cars...

go with the stang, much better car imho. it will drive a lot better than a camaro and you will get a lot more looks in a cobra that just a z28.

Sweet nice choice, if you decide to boost it or anything other wise my uncle owns reichardracing.com and i do a lot of the grunt work, so hit me up for that. Oh yeah the cobra is a lot sexier than a z28.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.
