Re: l have never seen a car dissappear like that!!!!

i have got to say though, turbo motors are twice as fun as n/a's. The short period of time that i did have mine i loved it. The turbo motor is fun to have, you can do SOmuch to it. On my 87 supra turbo 5speed, it had the 3.0v6 DOHC 3mgte motor, and with just a boost controler, bigger intercooler, exhaust, down pipe, and a diffrent bov, and running 14psi, i beat my step brothers 95 t/a lt1 with magnaflow cat back, shift kit, intake, and was "tuned". It was a good race. but i got him!

you want every car lol, but that vid, i dunno, kinda depends on how fast the car doing the taping is goin and stuff, if i'm just rollin at 60 or so and i gun the gas, the bird downshifts and goes like a bat outta hell, if i had a video camera i'd do a little re-enactment

Re: l have never seen a car dissappear like that!!!!

I think if you were to compare them both and each one was the latest model made, then I think honestly the Supra is going to have a slight advantage becuz it's lighter and has a nice smooth power surge. Don't forget the Supra Twin Turbo stock has 320hp and the LS1 Trans Am or Camaro has about 325hp. But it would be a nice race, I'd guess the power of the V8 wud surge through ahead but once the turbos start to kick in the Supra wud take the lead.

The 0-60 times are simular, but the Supra is like 4.8 - 4.9s and the Trans AM WS6 can do it around 5.0s. Either way I'd love to see a race go down.

Re: l have never seen a car dissappear like that!!!!

From what I have heard...the LS1 car will normally pull ahead a little.
Stock for stock with even drivers anyways.

Re: l have never seen a car dissappear like that!!!!

well, even if supras would run 5 secs. l would still go with the LS1. cuz they are my dream car.

if l would have chance, l would get both but LS1 would be first

Re: l have never seen a car dissappear like that!!!!

Well, that's kinda what happened to me. I always admired turbo cars but never got around to actually trying to get one. Then one day I was working at a dealership that had my SRT4. They gave it to me for the night and I was hooked!!! I just did some little bolt ons and can easily get deep into the 13's. If I can learn to drive it I should be in the high 12's.

The saying "there's no replacement for displacement" didn't know about turbo or supercharged cars.

Seriously??

No matter what...there is no replacement for displacement.
You know...you can boost a big motor as well.
