new alarm installed but doesn't activate when door opens!!!

i recently had an alarm system installed. It works find, but when i open the door while its activated, noting happens. When i set the ceiling light to the door setting it doesn't turn on when the door is open. Any advice on how to fix this??????or what's wrong??

Take it back they installed it wrong. You shouldn't have to worry after you laid out good cash for a service.
Is it with one door or all? See if your trunk and hood sets off the alarm. If it's just with one, check to see if that push switch that turns on and off the dome light is not sticking or see if it works at all. Your alarm looks for current to set it off when the door opens. But really you should just take it back.

It sounds like the typical crappy Honda door pins are not working. They usually rust and stop working. Play with the doorpin switch and see if you can get the light to come on.

The installer could have done it too when they hooked up the door trigger for the alarm. Try the passenger door.
