Sounds like a loud knocking

OK.... I got a loud knocking noise .... that gets louder when I coast .... it fades when I accerate and when I brake ..... the faster I go the louder and faster the noise gets ... again I really only hear it when I coast. When I throw the cain neutral while coasting and rev the engine the noise does not speed up.

I kinda sounds like the front axel/joint. Any idea's? Other observations?

anything from the output side of the transmission to the wheel bearing could be the culprit. couldnt tell you exactly from just a description
