79 280zx starting-running problems

I have a 79 280 zx, which was running fine one day, then the next morning, it started up okay but was bucking all over the place whenever i tried applying gas in first gear. The engine just kind of dies and comes back real quick, creating this blasted bucking. However, once it warmed up, everything was just peachy.
Then this morning i can't even get the thing to start. it kind of sounded like it was gong to go, but just died and never started again. It turns over just fine, and i am getting fuel to the filter at least (the first thing i tried replacing), but no go. Any help would be great.

Does the starter turn the motor over? If so then look farther down the fuel lines for blockages or leaks. Also check the spark plugs and make sure they aren't corroded and are giving a proper spark. You can do that by pulling the plugs out one at a time, hooking them up to the plug wires and holding the end against the engine block. Have someone crank the motor over for a second and see if there is a spark.

Was there any other existing problems that could add to this that you know of?

osrry paco, im way ahead of you. turns out the inline six engine is sturdier than i thought; it ran like crap becuase i was missing on the first and second cylinders. bad injectors. I also lwarned that you can diagnose and troubleshoot almost anything under the hood with a long screwdriver and a good ear; the poor man's automotive stethoscope
