Rear main seal leak on 2000 DX with 77K.
Hi,
I am original owner and have been using Castrol 10W-30 Synthetic Since Breakin. Just noticed that there is oil leaking and pertty sure it is the main seal. Before I decided to use the Synthetic I had read that it can be hard on seals so I called Castrol and they said "it will not cause any seals to fail". At this point it appears to be a very slight leak and I was wondering if anyone has seen similar or if I should change to non-synthetic or try an additive? Thanks, Rick |
