I have a 93 Grand Am, with the 3.3 engine. The engine temp guage does not move at all, and the oil guage does not move. Can anyone help me with these issues?

Re: No engine temp or oil pressure in 93 with 3.3 engone
Both sound like they could be due to bad sending unit and a bad temp. sensor on the engine. If only the guage doesn't work then this is where to start. The sending unit often goes bad on the oil pressure guage but if the engine runs then there should be oil pressure. It is interconnected with the fuel pump circuit so the engine will shut down if the oil pressure drops too low. This is a safety device to prevent the engine from being damaged.
