Do u make them just like the 6th generation headlights??? By opening them up and taking out the yellow piece??? Im sure the bought ones might look a little bit nicer but in the mean time i might as well make my own.

You can't make them on a 88-89 since they are pure yellow plastic. On 90-91 I heard you can pop out the yellow piece inside and make it clear.

yes on 90-91 you can just remove the orange plastic piece. However in my cse some kids back in high school thought it would be cool to bust mine out...so i had to order new ones. And yes they do look alot cleaner then the stock ones.

Agreed...I did the "remove the goofy orange thing" for a while, but my lenses were cracked from years of abuse by flying stones and road debris. The new ones look so fresh compared to the stock ones, and for less than $15 are a great deal IMO
My clear bumper lights came with a clear (translucent) insert in it and a orange (yellow) bulb. I also removed thsi clear insert, which cleans up the look of the housing and simply inserted my orange bulb directly. I chose not to go white bulb to avoid reasons for the fine law enforcment officers in my county to want to pull me over.
