not charging

well i just repasced the alt less then 3k. all the wires are hooked up. it just started to die, but the charging light did not come on. i know it word 3 weks ago when the belt cam loose. but its tight now. any ideas

ok well i narrowed it down to a accessory draning the battery. cause it charges awesome unless i turn an acceessory on then the battery dies in just a min or two. but why would the battey light not come on????

Maybe the light has been taken out?

Bad battery cell in the battery? Take your battery to an autozone and have it tested. Everytime I have had an alternator go bad I have to replace both the alternator and the battery. Usually the alternator would kill a cell in my battery and it would need replaced.. First make sure you have plenty of water in the battery before taking it in to get tested though.
