lt1 maro backs down?

ok so i pulled up behind a white lt1 camaro in a left turn lane,, looked/sounded like it only had exhaust work done. he took a left and then punched it and stopped at a light that was yellow, so of course i pull up next to him. i looked over and he looked over at me and revved his engine a few times and i grinned and nodded my head. when the light had a green arrow (we were both going straight) he false started and stopped about 5 feet later. then when our light actually turned green i punched it off the line, but it looked like he just took off as normal as i didn't go any faster than 60 and when i looked in the rear view miror he was waay behind me with the rest of the cars that were at the light. do you think he punched it for just a second and realized he had no chance or he was just trying to see me gun it? just the first time i've had a car rev at me at a light and then just take off as normal lol. maybe after he pulled up he saw the front and that it was an ls1 t/a. no idea

Re: lt1 maro backs down?

hmmmm...you said he false started?? he probably wasn't ready, when he backed up from false starting and tried to ready his car, the lights probably turned green already, thats why he didn't go. It happened to me a few times, i was like, forget it, it's not worth it to try and catch up. And it also helps if you rev back just to make sure its on!! it happened to me a few times with people and i was like, "wtf"

Re: lt1 maro backs down?

Mabey he broke something? Or mabey he just didnt feel right. I have had that feeling before and sometimes it has payed off. If something just dosent seem right to me, i wont race. Better safe than sorry. Does anybody else ever get that or am i weird? Or he could have been just toying with u to see what u would do.

Re: lt1 maro backs down?

Maybe he was just too embarrassed by his false start.
