Re: Door pins

I haven't done em on a thrid gen, yet, will be soon, but I have taken the doors off a few times, they are heavy as hell and ackward so be prepared. And from the looks of it, the bottom one, not so bad, the top looks to be a PITA as usual since it's all twisted up from bearing the weight of the door.

A wise investment toolwise is they sell a jack now specifically for holding the door. I made a adapter for a 3 ton jack for mine. Other wise you'll be doing alot of cussing trying to teater the door on a floor jack into place. OH, and it also hurts like a mother when it falls on your foot

yea it sucks on a third gen. i would get a door dolly or an equivalent because the door has to come completely off (and they are heavy). the bottem pin comes out pretty easily but my top bushing was bent due to the door saging so it took some purswasion (and cursing) to remove.

Re: Door pins

ya and mine is sagging bad, it is so bad that you have to slam the door to get it to shut, and it is scraping aginst the stock body kit. there is like a 1/8 inch gash in it. so i will be looking forward in a fun time doing this.

Re: Door pins

If you have any doubts take it to shop. It's a little more than a bolt off bolt on kinda thing, you need to have some idea on what your doing.
