Simple question, Figured one of you guys would know.
Ok, its not about a f-body but there are enough tech/shade tree mechanics around here to answer this and I have never had to do this before so I thought I would ask. I have to remove the door panel in my Achieva and it has manual windows. I bought the special GM window crank removal tool that is needed but can't find in the instruction or online if I am suppose to use this thing above the door panel or under the door panel. I originally thought above but after reading inthe instructions about compressing the spring and what not and the length of the tool I am thinking maybe you have to pull the panel out and slide it under ?

Most are from the top side of the panels, just be on the look out for the ohm clip, better known as the "oh my god" clip because when they let loose you'll be saying oh my god when you see how far it flies. What year Achieva anyway, maybe I can dig something up for you

well on aim i told him to try to push in on the panel a lil bit so he can see the pin, and on my cavalier the pin doesnt go anywhere, it acctually stays with the handle

Its a 96 Achieva, I just got back from work a few hours ago and am about to attempt to use the tool above the panel like Viper suggested. I will leave a update on how it worked shortly. Thanks guys.

It is above the panel however like I said they only give you like a hair so the leather got ripped a little around the crank area but I can easily enough repair that. Thanks guys.

Yeah, it was like a horse shoe shaped clip in there. I prefer the older style with a cap and screw threw the center. Whats getting to me more though is the amount of money stupid ass window regulators cost. I means its just thing metal arms with plastic guides on the end but what the hell choice do I have.
