My first engine mod

I knew it would happen. I can't have a car and keep everything stock!(i guess my dad won that bet lol)
anyway i know its not much but i did install an ebay intake(<--should i get a slap for an ebay item?). Well so far I love the way it sounds . i hope it is normal though i mean you can really hear it suck that air and really hear the turbo spool?
Now with that being said does anyone know what i should do next? Keep in mind that this is my first turbo car and i don't know too much about them (no matter how much i read lol) I seem to learn better by hands on experiences.

PS. I AM SICK OF BEING A NEWBIE!!! LOL J/P i know i will get to the promised land some day ha ha ha

Re: My first engine mod

everyone has to start somewhere man. Only thing i would tell you is make sure you took that little rubber ring that is over the stock turbo inlet. I've heard of them being sucked in with an aftermarket intake.

Next mod: Exhaust, do the catback, then do the downpipe

Re: My first engine mod

Yea do all the freeing up air mods. I'd just go with turbo back exhaust. Get it all done at once IMO. Maybe even a bigger or ported o2 sensor. Then think about your upper intercooler pipe and new bov to go with it. Then you will hear your exhaust growling, turbo spooling, throttle plate opening, and then some swoosh action back into your ebay intake.

Re: My first engine mod

Do it all at once, if you know how to weld, you can build your own turbo back for $375-$450 depending on local prices and what you use. Hit up the link at the bottom of my sig and you can see pics of mine and a list of materials and approximate prices.

Re: My first engine mod

Do all the free mods it makes a difference!!! you will gain 1-2 psi doing it to. When i had my T-25 all i had done is Ractive filter, 1g BOV, free mods and 3inch exhaust turbo back, no boost gauge or boost control just so you know. And i ran a 13.7 in the quarter with the T-25. Here check this out, i know im AWD but still it was on a SHIT T-25
